Applicants may obtain a Greek Golden Visa by making one of the following qualifying investments:
- Greek Government Bonds – A minimum investment of €500,000 in Greek government bonds.
- Term Deposit – A minimum €500,000 term deposit held with a Greek financial institution.
- Mutual Fund Shares – A minimum investment of €350,000 in a qualifying mutual fund that complies with the requirements of Greek legislation.
What Does the Process Involve?
Step 1 – Appoint Our Firm
Once you decide to proceed, our legal team will coordinate the entire application process on your behalf.
Step 2 – Sign a Power of Attorney
A Power of Attorney allows us to act on your behalf throughout most of the procedure. It can be signed at our office in Athens, at a Greek Consulate abroad, or before a Notary Public in your country of residence.
Step 3 – Obtain a Greek Tax Number
Using the Power of Attorney, we will apply for your Greek Tax Identification Number (TIN), which is typically issued within a few days.
Step 4 – Open a Greek Bank Account
The next step is opening a bank account in Greece.
Step 5 – Complete the Investment
Once the bank account is operational, the selected investment can be executed.
Step 6 – Ministry of Development Assessment
The Ministry’s review and approval process is essential to move to a Greek Golden Visa submission
Step 7 – Submit the Golden Visa Application
Following the completion of the investment, we prepare and submit your residency application to the competent authorities.
Step 8 – Biometric Appointment
The final step is a biometric appointment in Greece. This stage requires your personal attendance.
Key Information to Know
Approximately 90% of the procedure can be completed remotely through a Power of Attorney. This significantly reduces the need to travel to Greece during the application process.
